Storyline
Raja has a vivid imagination since childhood, used to frequently lie and
gamble, which did lead him to considerable trouble with his
schoolmaster, mom, Bhagwanti, and sister, Rani. When Raja is accused of
stealing medication, he is arrested, leading to the death of his ailing
mother, and Rani being taken to an orphanage run by Kamlabai. Years
later, Raja re-enters Rani's life and claims to be a very wealthy
businessman with contacts all over the world. A few days later, Rani
comes to know that Raja has been lying and the wealth that her brother
had acquired was by robbing his employer, Rai Saheb Bhola Ram. Raja gets
arrested and sent to prison. Ashamed by her brother's wrong-doing Rani
leaves the orphanage and goes to work in the household of Dr. Mohan by
looking after his ailing mom. Shortly thereafter she finds out that
Raja, too, has got a job as a chauffeur with this family - only to be
dismissed for stealing a wrist-watch of Mohan's advocate brother. Rani

4:01Lata Mangeshkar - Bairan Neend Na Aaye (Chacha Zindabad -1959
Two retired old men - Justice K.C. Chandan and Colonel R.N. Chopra were intimate friends from their childhood and this friendship inherited from past generations. Their extra ordinary envied by people. . Vinod was the son of Judge Sahib and Renu the daughter of Colonel Sahib. They were play-mates, schoolmates and were studying together in the college; but, they differed very much in their tastes and habits. Renu was a symbol of Eastern Culture whereas Vinod was ultra-modern. Renu was simple and fond of classical music, whereas, Vinod was totally Westernised and fond of Rock-N-Roll. This vast differnce in their taste and habits made them quarrel invariably and in such events Judge Sahib was supporting Renu whereas Colonel Sahib used to support Vinod. . Such increasing conflicts between their children prompted the fathers to betroth them; which would naturally strengthen the ties of their generations old friendship. This engagement highly upsetted Renu and Vinod and they anticipated delplorable life if they were married. None of the children could dare oppose the decision of father; hence they unanimously resolved to create certain serious misunderstandings between their fathers and put them to a terrible clash. Their plans succeeded. Hatred rapidly grew intense. The envied friends parted. The engagement was revoked. So much so that even the domestic servant were ordered not to meet with each other. . After implementing their plans Renu and Vinod were jubiliat on their success; but quite soont their hearts grew the deep cravings for each other. Their supressed desires unfolded the fact of their loving each other. This now pursuaded them to manupulate the removal of the planted misunderstandings between their fathers and pave a path to achieve the goal of their realised Love.
